This weekend was the most magical weekend of my life. I went to Geneva, Interlaken, and Bern Switzerland and fell in love. The mountains are so beautiful, words and pictures cannot express.
Last fall, I began reading DIS blogs, I read of one girl's adventure to Switzerland: she went paragliding over the Swiss Mountains. I promised myself that if I attended DIS I would go paragliding and today that dream came true.
It was the most fun and magical 15 minutes of my life.
Basically, you get in a van with a bunch of Swiss guys and they drive you up the mountain. They lay out all their parachutes and you slip into harnesses. You then are hooked to your pilot and instructed to run... of the mountain. You oblige, and your parachute fills with air and you take off over the mountains. It is the most surreal experience of my life. It puts everything in perspective. It is like looking at a panoramic photograph of the Swiss mountains but with the wind actually blowing in your face.
No matter how scared you might be, just do it. It is the most incredible experience and it is one you will never forget, I know I never will.
